The Youth Support Coordinator Program funded by the Queensland Department of Communities is an innovative program which works directly in selected secondary schools in Townsville / Thuringowa, Ayr, Ingham and Charters Towers. It assists young people who have been identified as being at risk of disengaging from the education system and not transitioning into the senior phase of learning, by linking them into appropriate and accessible services, providing relevant information, capacity building and resourcing of the school and fostering local community links.
