The Keys to a Future Program is a Pilot Program self-funded by Queensland Youth Services Inc. With the introduction of new legislation for Learner Drivers by Queensland Transport, all learner drivers must achieve and record 100 hours of on-road driving experience prior to taking the practical test for their Provisional Drivers Licence. The 'Keys to a Future' program offers an opportunity to Young Drivers who either don't have access to vehicle for training purposes, or have anyone eligible to supervise this instruction, or are not financially able to use the services of a Driving School. This new Pilot Program is offering a chance for young people to gain part of this 100 hours of supervised on-road driving experience with the assistance of volunteer community minded mentors and the expertise of a local supportive Driving School.
